These final images cane be presented in various ways.1.Photo prints.these are easy way of presentation.prints can be done from various photography shops, either from shops or online.Advantages are they are easy to display. Disadvantages are they tend to fade and have finger marks, bulky to carry and take lot of space to store. 2.CD presentation.Easy to carry and almost permanent. Disadvantage being one needs to have a computer with proper software. And collecting and editing takes time.3.Slide show, with the help of memory stick or memory card. These are very easy to carry and to display. But the disadvantage is that one has to have a computer or a projector and a screen to display.M y presentation was through CD and slide show.

Research artist--- Lewis Baltz

Lewis Baltz was born in California in 1945. He was a visual artist but then later he became a photographer. He was graduated from San Fransisco Art Institute. He became interested in the nature where human beings destroyed the landscape. He photographed mainly human landscapes like offices, factories and parking lots.He was also concerned that people are wasting the precious land for constructing for parking cars and storage places, instead he would suggest that the land should be used to help the community, especially to produce food or manufacture materials. He also wrote many books on photography.Baltz moved to Europe in 1980s and there he started to produce large colour prints. He became the professor of photography at European Graduate school. He now lives in Paris and Venice.

Research artist ------Paul Seawright

Paul Seawright was born in Belfast in Northern Ireland in 1965. He was mainly interested in photographing in conflict and war zones. He photographed in NI during the conflict. He took lots of photos of people who were injured, and the buildings, and vehicles those were destroyed or burnt down. Most of his pictures were really emotionally moving and touching. Seeing his work Imperial war museum sent him to Afghanistan to take pictures, at the end of the war in 2002 against Russia. later he lived in Wales for 13 years. He also started taking photos of places where lot of people are gathered, like beach, shopping centres, and festivals. His works were exhibited in many countries especially in San Francisco museum of arts. He is the professor of photography at University of Ulster in Belfast.

Research artist-- Lynn Silverman

Lynn Silverman was born in New York USA in 1952. she graduated in photography from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. after graduating she left for Australia and was fascinated with the deserts there. She stayed there for six years. Then she moved to England where she spent 16 years. she photographed table tops, light bulbs, windows, clouds etc. While photographing windows she highlighted the contrast between inside and outside of the window. She also highlighted the curtains, blinds in the windows.
The above picture is of a tungsten bulb. The beauty is the highlighted filament and the reflection of the other lights in the room. She also started taking pictures of buildings and rivers, which she never liked it much. She had held many exhibitions all over the USA

Research artist--- Willie Doherty

Willie Doherty Was born in Northern Ireland in 1959.Asa child he witnessed Bloody Sunday in Derry which was a communal conflict between Catholics and Protestants. Most of his works and photographs were based on these conflict and he named them "Trouble".He became famous in 1980 when he published series of photos with titles, taken during the trouble in NI. He was nominated twice for Turner prize. He has exhibited his works in USA and Italy. He also made many video recordings of the conflict called "The Visitor". He also photographed many buildings, vehicles which were destroyed or burnt during the communal conflict in Northern Ireland. He would go out during such violent actions without fearing for his  safety. Some of his pictures became very emotional.
These are the two of many images he shot. The first picture is the destruction of a house with the furnitures burnt and destroyed. The second picture is the destruction of a car, burnt. One can see the extent of destruction in this picture, the glass and the body has been burnt.

Research artist--- Eugene Atget

Eugene Atget was a French photographer born in Bordeaux.Early in life he became a sailor, then cabin boy and later an actor.none of these jobs made him happy and he could not continue with these jobs.He married a French actress and they both were associated with French dramatists. He became interested in photography and he could make a living out of that. He bought himself a camera, a  large wooden camera with bellows.he shot more than 10000 shots of people and various sights in Paris. His main interest was in buildings and nature. He held many exhibitions and galleries through out Europe. He gave lot of importance to the sharpness of the images he took which he could achieve using the large format camera using a tripod. It looks all landscape photographers use tripod routinely for all the images.
I like this image which shows an alley between buildings and a canal. There are rows of trees besides the canal and a staircase to go down to the canal. This one image gives so many information.
This second image is of a lake. The water is still and so the reflection of trees is clear. The photographer must have taken this image early in the morning when no people around and must have waited for a long time for the right moment when the water is still.

Evaluation

I started this course to improve my photographic techniques and image manipulation using photo shop program.I am mainly interested in landscape photography, involving water, sunrise, sunset and trees and fields.Since I started the course my photographic techniques have improved very much.I now know framing  an image, what the image should contain,  lines, contrast, composition and the rule of thirds.
Light writing is a new thing which I have learnt. I will be practising this technique very often in future.
I have also learnt to do the blogging and publishing my work which I learnt during the course.I also look into other peoples blog and have picked up few good tips.
My most enjoyable part is the image manipulation using photo shop program. It was very frustrating initially because at Burton College Apple computer was being used with Photo shop CS5 and while practising at home it was different as I have Microsoft PC and Photo shop Elements 9.Now that I have purchased the manual for the program I am now confident of image manipulations.Next aim is to learn the layering technique for image manipulations.
I have a  Nikon D5000 camera with a lens 18-105 which I use regularly, but I also have a lens 70-200 which I use occasionally. one of the things I need to use is the tripod on a regular basis.I have learnt that while using a tripod one can use the smallest aperture without any camera shake and so can get a nice sharp and crisp photos with a good deal of depth. This is one of the essence of landscape photography. Also use of tripod helps taking pictures in dark and at nights.
